Job Search Action

Most job seekers begin looking for work before building a foundation of self-assessment, career exploration and goal setting.  Taking action without being fully prepared results in a longer job search...which results in frustration, self-doubt, worry, anger, etc.

The folders on interviewing, job banks, resumes, etc., are provided to give you our perspective of the topic and a few valuable links to learn more.  We also will be adding more handouts, PowerPoint presentations and comments as we build the website.

Faulty thinking moment:  If you think that stopping to work the steps presented in the Plan Your Career page will delay you obtaining a job, think again.  Fully prepared job seekers will obtain employment faster that those who are "winging" it.  In this economy, you must present yourself as a true professional, no matter what the occupation, and demonstrate your job search skills are equal to your skills on the job.
